Which Bay of Plenty towns do you cover for garden maintenance?
Round the harbour we cover Tauranga, Otumoetai, Matua and Bethlehem. East of the bridge it is Mount Maunganui, Papamoa, Welcome Bay and Ohauiti. Inland and west, Pyes Pa, Tauriko, Omokoroa, Te Puna and Te Puke. Just outside one of those? The address is still worth sending.
How much does garden maintenance cost in the Bay of Plenty?
It starts at $65 per visit. Where a garden lands depends on how much planting there is, how far it has been left, how often you want us back and whether waste has to come up a steep drive.
My garden has really got away on me. Can you still take it on?
That is most of what we get called for. It takes a longer catch-up visit to bring the beds back to a baseline, priced separately, and the regular round after that is much lighter.
Is garden maintenance the same as lawn mowing?
No. This round is the planted areas — beds, hedges, shrubs, bed edges and mulch. If you want the grass cut as well, lawn mowing and edging is a separate service, and plenty of people have the crew do both on one visit.
Can you look after a rental or a holiday home I am not at?
Yes, and a lot of the round is exactly that. You get a photo after each visit, so a property manager or an owner two towns away can see the state of the garden without driving over.
Do you take the green waste away?
It goes on the trailer and leaves with us — prunings, weeds and clippings. Nothing gets stacked behind the shed for you to deal with on a Sunday.
Is your crew police-vetted?
Every gardener is vetted before we put them on a round. Worth knowing when someone is coming through your side gate while you are at work.
Will it be the same gardener each time?
That is the intention, and it is the point of a round. Someone who already knows which shrubs you want left alone does a better job than a new person each visit.
Can we pause over winter?
Any time, with no lock-in contract. Plenty of gardens drop to a lighter winter round and lift again as things start moving in spring.
Do you prune fruit trees and natives?
Light pruning is part of the round. Anything that needs a ladder, a chainsaw or a big reduction is tree and hedge trimming and is quoted on its own.
