A clearance visit looks impressive because there is so much to remove. That is the problem, not the selling point. Weeds pulled while they are small come out in seconds; the same weeds pulled after they have rooted properly and shed seed take far longer and leave next season behind them.

04Do you spray the weeds or pull them?
By hand, root and all. Nothing else is safe among shrubs and perennials you have spent years on. A gravel path or a driveway strip is a different story and genuinely suits spraying, which is weed control and fertilisation rather than something to bill as garden time.
05What happens to the clippings and weeds?
All of it goes out on the trailer. Nothing accumulates against your fence and nothing waits around for a tip run in your own car. Taking it away was part of the price you agreed, not a line underneath it.
06Our garden is right near the harbour. Does that change the work?
It changes the proportions. Exposed beds carry less weed volume but want more shaping, because wind will thin one side of a shrub if nobody is watching it. Salt-tolerant planting is usually already in, so the job is holding its shape rather than keeping it alive.
07Will the same person come each time?

Shaping as we go, yes. A full hedge cut, or anything that wants a ladder under it, belongs to tree and hedge trimming and gets its own quote. That way your round stays the number you planned around.
10Our garden has really got away. Where do we start?
A clearance first, priced from photos and separate from everything else. Once the beds are back to a sensible state the round picks up, and those visits are a much smaller job than the clearance was.
11Do I need to be home?
No. The crew needs a way into the beds and somewhere to pull the trailer up. A photo of the finished garden comes through afterwards, which is the bit that matters if you are not living at the property.
12Can we pause over winter?
Of course. One thing to weigh first: winter here slows the garden down without ever switching it off, so three months parked usually means a heavier visit to get back on terms, priced as the catch-up it is.
13Is mulch included?
